KITCHENWARE ROUND-UP!
HOME HELPERS PLASTIC GARLIC PRESS
This product should be called the garlic musher. The low quality plastic parts are barely strong enough to crush the garlic down, and if you can muster the strength, you'll just end up with mashed garlic. Almost none of the garlic actually made it through the holes on the bottom. I'm surprised I didn't completely Hulk out and shatter this cheap plastic garbage. Is it a good deal? Yeah, even the cheapest garlic press elsewhere would be $4-5
Should I buy it? NO
STAINLESS STEEL FLAT GRATER
This product actually works surprisingly well. I've grated carrots on this thing a few times and it works. The major flaw here is the plastic surrounding the metal is pretty low quality so you have to careful, if you're a vigorous grater you might snap it. I found that the best way to use this is to lay it as flat as it will go and grate the food from the top, the handle is angled and keeps it slightly elevated which gives the food space to fall.Is it a good deal? Yes, you'd pay at least $4 for a cheap grater elsewhere
Should I buy it? YES, If you're a legit chef and grate all the time, maybe not, but it's great for the casual cook.
CAN OPENER
No Picture Available
This is one product that never seems to work right from any dollar store. It's really a mystery why they can't get these right. The materials are of a decent quality, plastic grips and reasonably thick metal, but the blade itself just isn't sharp enough. Why they couldn't get that right I'll never understand. Due to the blade issue you have to push down with all your might to crack into the top. Then as you try to open the can, you're almost more likely to dent the lid then open it.Is it a good deal? Yes, can openers can go for outrageous prices at regular stores
Should I buy it? NO
